He played for the University of Minnesota under legendary coach Herb Brooks and won the NCAA Championship in 1974. He also played in the World Hockey League and the National Hockey League. Joe has been a commentator for Fox, ESPN, ABC, and NBC, covering five Winter Olympics and 25 Stanley Cup finals. He has been the regular TV commentator for the St. Louis Blues, the New York Islanders, and the New York Rangers for the past 18 years.
